Smoke & Heat Sensor
Dual-detection technology combines photoelectric smoke sensing (slow, smoldering fires) with rapid heat-rise detection for fast, accurate alerts.

Features
- Built-in siren
- Continuous self-monitoring + low-battery alerts
- Encrypted wireless connectivity
- Monitored by ADT & local fire department
- May lower home insurance by an average of 15%
Why Smoke Detection Alone Is Not Enough
Photoelectric smoke sensing is very good at catching slow, smoldering fires, the kind that produce heavy smoke before open flame, common with electrical fires and overheated wiring. It is comparatively slower to react to a fast-flaming fire, where flame spreads quickly but smoke takes a moment to build.
Combining smoke detection with rapid heat-rise detection covers both fire patterns. The heat-rise element reacts to how fast the temperature around it is climbing, not just its current temperature, which catches a fast-flaming fire (a grease fire, for example) well before smoke alone would trigger an alert.
Monitoring and Insurance
Because the sensor reports to the ADT monitoring center and can alert the local fire department automatically, it protects your home even when nobody is there to hear a local alarm, unlike a battery-only smoke detector that only helps people already inside. Many homeowners insurance carriers offer a discount for a professionally monitored fire system; NetSecure360 can provide documentation of your monitored system for your insurer.
The built-in siren still sounds locally the moment smoke or a rapid heat rise is detected, so occupants get the same immediate local warning as a standard smoke alarm, with monitored dispatch as a second layer behind it.
