Automated Lighting, Not Just Remote Control
Beyond turning lights on and off from your phone, smart bulbs can be set to schedules and scenes: porch lights on at dusk, entry lighting that turns on automatically when you disarm the system at the front door, or a simulated occupancy pattern while you are traveling. LED technology keeps the ongoing energy cost of running these schedules low compared to standard bulbs left on a timer.
